The  Improv Group

Love.   Life.   Sex.

The truth shall make you dangerous.

An improv group with a difference:

  •  We take more personal suggestions from the audience.

  •  We create one act play from a theme agreed upon by the audience.

  •  We also do skits and bits ala Whose Line Is It Anyway

  •  The actors are passionate about life, live in the here and now, use their intelligence.

  •  We eschew the toilet humor and manic behavior that infects much of improv.

Director Evan Nossoff has worked with instructors who were there at the creation of improv, including Del Close an original cast member and second director of Second City.  Close trained  John Belushi, Gilda Radner, Bill Murray, Dan Ackroyd and other members of the first Saturday Night Live casts. Nossoff worked with him in Los Angeles in the early 70s.  Nossoff  serves as artistic director for SacActors.Com; directs the long running hits "The Vagina Monologues" and "Sexual Perversity in Chicago".  For other theaters he has directed "Our Town" and "A Couch Story".  As an actor he appeared as the co lead in "Talley's Folly" for the production that earned a Sacramento Bee highlight of the year.  He has led more than 1200 workshop sessions covering improvisation, physical comedy, how to act your song, monologues and scenes, and acting.  He also is a professional photographer who has done assignments for Time Magazine, among others.
